The Alexander Majors House is one of a handful of rare, antebellum houses in the Kansas City area surviving the Civil War and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1856 on a 300-acre farm, it served as Majors' home and headquarters for the Pony Express. It is now fully restored and open for weekend tours.
