Darwin is a city in Meeker County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 350 at the 2010 census. It is known primarily for purportedly having the world's biggest ball of twine, which is located across from the public park on Main Street in the center of town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km²), of which, 0.8 square miles (1.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (9.64%) is water.
U.S. Route 12 serves as a main route in the community.
