Diamond is a city in Newton County, Missouri, United States near Joplin, Missouri. The population was 808 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Joplin, Missouri, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Diamond is primarily renowned as the birthplace of George Washington Carver.
