Hartville is a city in Wright County, Missouri, United States. The population was 607 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Wright County.
Hartville is located at 37°15′1″N 92°30′43″W / 37.25028°N 92.51194°W / 37.25028; -92.51194 (37.250170, -92.511916), along the Woods Fork of the Gasconade River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 607 people, 252 households, and 143 families residing in the city. The population density was 974.7 people per square mile (378.0/km²). There were 289 housing units at an average density of 464.1 per square mile (180.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.36% White, 0.99% African American, 1.15% Native American, 0.16% Pacific Islander, and 0.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.66% of the population.
