La Grange is a city in Lewis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,000 at the 2000 census. Since the 2000 census the population has been dwindling. It is part of the Quincy, IL–MO Micropolitan Statistical Area.
In March, 2010, Police Officer Doug Howell shot and killed a seemingly restrained dog causing public outrage from local residents. The story was covered in regional news media outlets and is a rising trend due to the newly released Youtube video from the incident. Many have called for the officers dismissal after his outrageous actions.
