Steelville is a city in Crawford County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,429 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Crawford County.
Steelville is located at 37°58′7″N 91°21′19″W / 37.96861°N 91.35528°W / 37.96861; -91.35528 (37.968509, -91.355163). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.6 square miles (6.7 km²), all of it land.
