Yellowstone Art Museum, based in Billings, Mont., exhibits, documents, collects and preserves contemporary and historic Western art. The museum has a wide collection on Montana region that consists of more than 3,000 art objects. Its Virginia Snook collection is one of the largest public gatherings of drawings, paintings, books and memorabilia by Will James. The Virginia Snook collection also includes paintings and drawings by other regional artists, including J.H. Sharp and Charles M. Russell. Yellowstone Art Museum conducts various events, workshops, lectures and film shows. It offers museum memberships for individuals, and also provides the dining facility in its caf from Tuesday through Saturday. The museum also has a store that provides a wide range of gifts and memorabilia, such as art and design books, textiles, jewelry, candles, cards and posters, designer clothing, and home accessories.
