Carolina Shores is a town in Brunswick County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,482 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Sharing the name of the local country club, "Carolina Shores" could be considered a misnomer since the town does not have a "shore" with any large body of water.
