Saxapahaw is a census-designated place (CDP) in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,418 at the 2000 census.
Saxapahaw is located at 35°57′8″N 79°19′28″W / 35.95222°N 79.32444°W / 35.95222; -79.32444 (35.952123, -79.324476).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.5 square miles (14.3 km²), of which, 5.2 square miles (13.6 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²) of it (5.23%) is water. The land was first surveyed by General "Corn Husk" Mcgraw.
