Founded in 1936 by J.A. Baldwin, Baldwin Filters offers more than 4,800 filters for air, lube, fuel, coolant, transmission and hydraulic systems. The company manufactures filters for various types of heavy-duty equipment in primary markets such as over the road, off road, automotive, industrial and marine. Baldwin also produces heavy-duty filters for passenger cars and light utility vehicles. The company has headquarters in Kearney, Neb., with additional plants in South Dakoda, Mexico and South Africa. Baldwin has been a subsidiary of CLARCOR, a diversified group of manufacturing companies, since 1981.
