Founded in 1953, Western Hills Magnet School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, including reading, writing, math, science and social studies. The school also conducts sessions in physical and special education. Western Hills Magnet School conducts classes in performing arts, languages, communications, economics and international studies. The school provides lunch services to students. Its staff includes teachers, technical assistants, facilitators, librarians, counselors and specialists. In addition, the school conducts sessions in gifted and talented education. It is a part of Omaha Public Schools, which enrolls more than 45,000 students through its elementary, middle and high schools.
