The Nebraska Correctional Center For Women, also known as NCCW, is a more than 250-bed correctional facility that features over 15 buildings that cover an area of nearly 25 acres. It has a learning center that provides a living skills program. In operation since 1921, the center houses custody inmates and court-ordered evaluators. The Nebraska Correctional Center For Women offers a parenting program that includes parenting classes and overnight child visits. The center provides a residential program that includes treatment options for people with substance abuse and addiction problems. It conducts group classes and offers job skills instruction. The center s volunteer program includes Bible studies and individual religious counseling swervices. It is a part of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, which provides victim assistance, emergency preparedness and health care solutions. The Nebraska Correctional Center For Women is accredited by the American Correctional Association.
