History
In the 1980's, two sisters came to Omaha bringing with them treasured family recipes. Born in Thailand, they immigrated to the US and in 1994 their love for cooking and taste for authentic Thai food led them to open Thai Pepper, the first official Thai restaurant in Omaha. Insisting on only preparing made to order, fresh, and authentic dishes. Our menu centers on cuisine originating from the Chiang Mai province. Chiang Mai is the birthplace for many of the Thai noodle dishes and soups enjoyed across the world. Upon retiring, the sisters entrusted the daily activities of Thai Pepper to owner / operators Robin and Andy Kammerer. The recipes remain unchanged and carry with them the rich tradition of the Chiang Mai province. The Kammerer family continues to keep this long-time Omaha favorite going. Our aim is to create exquisite Thai cuisine as such, Thai Pepper continues to honor the commitment of serving only authentic, made to order, fresh food.
