Wahoo is a city in Saunders County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 3,942 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Saunders County.
Wahoo was founded in 1870. The town's name comes from the eastern wahoo (Euonymus atropurpureus), a shrub found on the banks of Wahoo Creek.
