Overton Power District No. 5 s service territory begins 30 miles east of Las Vegas covers approximately 1,932 square miles in the northeastern portion of Clark County, Nevada. The company s area includes the city of Mesquite and the unincorporated communities of Bunkerville, Moapa, Glendale, Logandale and Overton, as well as Valley of Fire State Park and portions of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, such as Overton Beach and Echo Bay. Within this primarily rural area, Overton Power provides services to more than 10,000 customers. The company has approximately 86 percent residential customers and 14 percent irrigation and general service customers. Overton Power is a nonprofit, special improvement district created in 1935 by the state of Nevada and headquartered in Overton, Nev.
