<p>Jackson House is the oldest surviving wood frame house in the state. Built in 1664 by wood worker Richard Jackson on his family&rsquo;s 25-acre land, it is listed as a National Historic Landmark. Admissions is free for Historic New England members and Portsmouth residents and tours are available.</p>
