The Institute for Human Development is a nonprofit agency that has been providing chemical addiction services to the residents of New Jersey since 1969. It offers a range of residential, outpatient, medical care, educational and AIDS prevention services. Its residential treatment program is licensed for more than 115 adults of over 18 years of age and offers skill development, educational assessment, vocational counseling and job placement services. The agency offers HIV programs for prevention, early detection, intervention, risk and harm reduction and case management. Its services also include assessment and referrals, HIV counseling and early intervention, adolescent substance abuse counseling in schools, urine drug screens and case management. In addition, the agency offers a variety of age-specific educational programs to schools, civic organizations and parent-teacher associations.
