Our family story begins in the 1940's, when my grandfather and patriarch started a fence company out of his home in North Jersey. With only one truck, he established a successful fence company. The only product line he carried back then was chain link, also known as Anchor. Anchor was established in 1891 and was the first in the United States to manufacture chain link fabric on a large scale. My father and uncle took over the reigns during the 1960's. The two brothers transformed the single truck company into Bergen County's leading custom wood manufacturer. Specializing in cedar fencing, they expanded from the popular stockade type style of the time to the wide variety of custom wood fences. My uncle has since retired and my cousins continue to run the successful North Jersey fence company. In 1978 my father established All-State Fence in Howell Township and soon after opened a second location in Bayville. Being located in both Monmouth and Ocean counties on the Route 9 corridor allowed All-State to easily service Central and Southern New Jersey. Soon after came the housing boom where homeowners from the North sought more affordable homes with larger properties along the Jersey Shore. All-State Fence was perfectly situated to meet these fencing needs. During the late 80's the popularity of aluminum fencing exploded and All-State became a leading aluminum fence supplier. Homeowners started to seek an alternative to wood fencing and the vinyl line of fencing took off. Being maintenance free and offering wide varieties of styles and colors, vinyl fencing is now the leading choice of homeowners. Recently our vinyl fence line was featured on the DIY Network TV show "King of Dirt". View The Show My brother Scott and I now own and run All-State Fence. My nephew Chris has recently joined the family business, giving us four generations of fencing experience.
