Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority provides wastewater treatment facilities. It serves more than 35 municipalities in Camden County, and treats more than 57 million-gallons of sewage per day at its plants, making it one of Delaware s largest water pollution control facilities. The county s water flow travels through more than 90 miles of piping, and is assisted by 25 pump stations. Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority has constructed the county s waterflow facilities, under authority of the Environmental Protection Agency, to bring Camden County into compliance with the federal Clean Water Act. It also provides an industrial pretreatment program that protects the environment by issuing industrial discharge permits, and inspecting potential sources of pollution.
