The Port Authority Police, created in 1928, offers law enforcement and public safety services in Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia. It handles more than 80 million air passengers, over 1 million aircraft movement and nearly 2.5 million tons of air cargo annually. The authority police covers screening points, responds to aircraft incidents and aids travelers from various parts of the world.
