Founded in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery Commission is an authorized agency that is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations in the operation of New Jersey Lottery. New Jersey Lottery raises revenue for contribution to education and institutions benefiting the citizens of the state of New Jersey through the sale of lottery products. The division has a staff of approximately 150 employees and seven sections, including administration, operations, management information systems, marketing, sales, security and finance. It offers a variety of scratch-off ticket and numbers games, such as Keno, Pick 3 and Pick 4. New Jersey Lottery is a part of the government of the State of New Jersey.
