Founded in 1970, PACO, also known as Puertorrique os Asociados for Community Organization, is a bilingual, bicultural, community-based nonprofit organization that provides services for low- and moderate-income families and individuals. It offers weatherization services that include assistance with utility bill payments, insulation, and repair and replacement of door, windows, heating systems and chimneys. The organization provides emergency food, transportation, escort assistance, health screening, and translation and interpretation services for senior citizens. PACO offers a range of educational services that include technical scholarships and citizenship classes, as well as conducts workshops.
