As a part of the Police Department of the city of Santa Fe in New Mexico, the Patrol Division conducts street patrolling in day, swinging and night shifts. It also provides emergency and nonemergency assistance services for the general public. The Police Department operates though several divisions, including administrative, operation and support services. Its support services division offers animal rescue, crime prevention, recordkeeping and fingerprinting services. The department works to meet the safety and protection needs of area citizens and visitors, as well as encourages community participation in community members. Additionally, it maintains an online database of criminal statistics, police notes, crime reports, and domestic and sexual violence information.
