Tomion is certified by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in ornamental and turf, structural and rodent, fumigation, food processing, and cooling towers. He also has had extensive experiences in all areas of pest management and on-site inspection procedures. Jeff Tomion is also certified by ASI Food Safety Consultants as a Lead Food Safety Auditor. Jeff has also attended the American Institute of Baking (AIB) Food Plant Sanitation and HAACP seminars. Jeff has passed the NPMA Pest Management in Food Plants Exam. Jeffery B. Tomion, son of the owner, Jeff Tomion, is an NYSDEC commercially certified applicator in Structural and Rodent Pest Control and Food Processing. Jeff is currently enrolled at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. Jeff has passed the NPMA Pest Management in Food Plants Exam and plans on receiving his certifications in Ornamental and Turf, Fumigation and Cooling Towers. Julien Woodson joined Platinum Pest control in 2016. Since then, he has earned his NYSDEC technician certification in Structural and Rodent Pest Control. Julien plans to continue his aggressive training regiment. Tessa Lessord has her Master’s from Cornell University in Entomology. She specializes in low impact insect management methods, such as biological control. As our Staff Entomologist, Tessa's duties include pest identification and management recommendations. Tessa also holds an A.A.S. in Agriculture Technology from SUNY Alfred and a B.S in Entomology from Cornell University. Soon, she will also become board certified. Zach Thibault recently joined us in December and is currently enrolled in an NYSDEC 30 hours training course and Purdue’s Food Plant IPM online course. Zach has passed the NPMA Pest Management in Food Plants Exam. Jerry Harrington joined Platinum Pest Control in December of 2016 as our food safety advisor. Jerry has extensive food safety training, and is HACCP certified, certified SQF Practitioner, and certified internal auditor.
