The Fordham-Tremont Community Mental Health Center, located in Bronx, N.Y., is an outpatient facility providing mental health services. The center, established in 1978, is affiliated with St. Barnabas Hospital. It comprises more than 12 major units and over nine specialty programs. The center provides comprehensive mental health services to more than 5,000 clients annually. It provides various services and treatment, such as assessment, individual psychotherapy, medication management, crisis intervention, therapeutic nursery and case management studies. The Fordham-Tremont Community Mental Health Center also provides other services, such as treatment for sexually abused children, victims of violence and crime, education about living with mental illness, and assistance with activities of daily living. Additionally, it provides counseling services, socialization and recreational activities and vocational courses for children and adults.
