The Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, founded in 1987, is a nonprofit organization that helps improve the health of women and babies in the Buffalo and surrounding area. The purpose of the center is to improve pregnancy outcomes, promote better maternal, and child and infant health care, establish better linkages between existing programs, and ensure that families have access to the full-range of preventive and primary health care, social support and educational resources in the city of Buffalo and Erie County, N.Y. It provides professional education, conferences and training opportunities for maternal and child health care and human service providers, such as smoking cessation in pregnancy and HIV testing protocols. The programs operated by the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, include community heal worker, Buffalo home visiting program, community action for prenatal care and network program. The center is headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y.
