The Lower Hudson Regional Information Center, located in Elmsford, N.Y., is a nonprofit organization that provides educational support and technology support services to various school districts. It serves students of more than 60 school districts in grades kindergarten through 12 in Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties in New York. The center is a part of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services. Additionally, it provides financial assistance to school districts and employs more than 170 information technology professionals. The Lower Hudson Regional Information Center provides various services, such as technical support, management of financial and student data information systems, staff development, project management and systems integration. It also provides assistance to school districts in meeting the New York state educational standards and effective operations of their schools. The center additionally organizes professional development computer courses in school districts that include computer networking and Microsoft Windows to handle the challenges of growing educational and technological environment.
