The Gold Star team is a pleasure to do business with. This is the 2nd time I have used them and they will be the people I call if I need a plumber in the future. Oscar and the crew that came to do the work were very professional and cleaned up the area as well. They explained every step of what they were doing and made sure I was happy with the work. They certainly aren't the cheapest but peace of mind is worth every penny.
My experience started February 2015 when your company installed my boiler.\nThe installation was professionally done.\nIn November of 2016 I decided to employed your company as my service company to service my home-hold regarding all plumbing experiences.\n\nThanks for your service.
The two technicians that you sent are an asset to your company, but, I feel that I was ripped off for what I paid for two valves. I know what values cost and I have done work like this myself in the past. I know labor is involved, but you ripped me off with the price. I was in a bind and needed to be able to shut the water off. I will never recommend your company again. Everyone I have spoken to, said I was ripped off, big time. If you would like to call me to discuss this further, please do.
Let me begin by saying this is the full story of my TERRIBLE experience with this company.. Please take the time to read it in its entirety before dealing with this most unethical potentially illegal sales process.. If I could give a ZERO I would have.. Spoke with a women who gave me her name as Gay... She told me that there was a service fee of $39.00 which I agreed to and Sent a repair man (Lucas) to my home who at 1st seemed genuine.. Lucas also made me aware of a service fee but stated it was $69.00 which was $30.00 more than Gay quoted but I also agreed to that as I really needed this repair.. I explained the problem with the system not regulating the heat on the 1st level of the house and he said he would take a look.. Once in the boiler room, maybe 5-10 minutes, he said he needed to do a "deep diagnostic" because he couldn't find the problem and asked me to agree to an additional fee of $421 but if I paid cash he would save me the tax. Also said that once the problem was found he would offer me some packages of repair! At this point I became concerned with this sales tactic and began to ask some questions.. In the end he was trying to get me to purchase repairs to my system at prices ranging from $1800 to $300 dollars.. Why would I want to purchase a package? I think that one would diagnose a problem than offer a dollar amount for repair including parts and labor? Maybe I'm wrong but this seemed pretty logical to me.. I paid the service fee of $69.00 and told him we couldn't continue on.. I called the main line back spoke to Gay she heard my concerns transferred me to a supervisor Lisa who told me that's how they do business and depending on my "economic situation" is how they base their repairs and packages!!! What?? that sounds very unethical I replied.. She said she would note the system of my concerns and that's all she would do.. I told her that this was not a way to do business and being in the customer service business myself, I would never treat customers this way.. We hung up and within 3 minutes my phone rang and it was Lisa the supervisor again, saying they would refund my $69.00..we hung up once again.. I Wasn't looking for the $69.00 as I agreed to pay that service, even though I was originally quoted $39 as I think it was fair.. What I ultimately wanted was my boiler fixed at a fair price agreed by both parties.. Needless to say I never received that refund.. Be very careful with these unethical sales tactics... Feel sorry for all those people who were taken by this company..
Gold Star Service was just out recently to do an annual servicing for my business. They have come every year for about 3 years now. The prices are very fair as far as I'm concerned. They have different technicians who come out, but they are absolutely always friendly and respectful. They're a very reliable service as well.
I would honestly give Gold Star Service 10 stars if I could! They are very professional, clean, and responsive. They are trustworthy and they give me peace of mind which is awesome and very important. Most recently they replaced a hot water system and water filtration in my home. I was impacted by Hurricane Sandy and another plumber put in a whole new system at that time, but it was done improperly and I had a poorly functioning system for many years. Gold Star was there to help, though, and it's been good since then. They ended up having to put a whole new system in but that was due to the other plumber, not Gold Star. They're very good. Very clear. Good service all around.
The estimate given was more than double the price I paid to another licensed plumbing company the next morning. \nToo expensive. Used another licensed plumber the next morning and they did all the work for 400.00.\n\nOriginally had an 1100.00 estimate from Goldstar before I pointed out mistake in estimate. Reduced it to 900.00. I told them NO thank you and they left after I paid the service charge. \nWill NOT call again.\n\n RESPONSE FROM Gold Star Service: \nThank you for taking the time to provide feedback. My experience was great. This company is very professional and takes great pride in helping you. The office communication is exceptional and you are always kept in the loop. Well worth the service, yet repairs are somewhat costly. I would highly recommend this company.
Gold Star was great. I had an emergency and the response was so fast. I called and within 2 hours someone was at my house. The two guys that came over were respectful and very friendly and even wore boot covers on their feet when they came in the house. I would definitely use them again!
I was very satisfied with the service provided by the plumber from Gold Star Plumbing. He was just an excellent plumber. He was very neat and clean and had a very pleasant personality. He did a good job and I have nothing but good things to say. I would definitely recommend them.
We had Brian, Edin and Derlin come to install our new ductless air conditioning system. Lisa from the office was very pleasant to deal with setting up the appointments and calling 1/2 hour before the team was to arrive. We also received emails with their pictures included introducing the team and saying they were on their way. Everyone was very courteous and neat in the installation. Marc was very courteous and professional from the first appointment and coming by to check progress of job at beginning, middle and end. He also called a few times upon completion to see if we were completely satisfied! We will certainly recommend Gold Star to all family and friends.
I am very satisfied with Gold Star services converting my Heating system from Oil to Gas. \n\nStarting from the Sales person, Marc, who was very professional and explained very well what i needed to convert to Gas. Also, the technical group starting with Oscar, Danni and Lucas, who provided excellent service and showed a lot of experience and professionalism. \n\nThank you Gold Star.
Jose was very punctual and professional. He gave me various options based on my budget and we agreed that fixing the leak was easier on my budget than replacing the faucet. I was notified by phone when the plumber was on his way and he was here well within the stated time frame. Thank you
I generally do not write reviews however my dissatisfaction with this company can not be silenced. I called Gold Star to have them service my business. The pipes were clogged and sewage was coming up through my slop sink. Having had this problem in the past, I knew that a quick snake of the lines would solve the problem. Of course it was after hours (7pm) so immediately I was told that there would be a $250.00 emergency service fee. What was I going to do? I needed working toilets for business. \nThe service man came around 9pm and "accessed" the situation. Basically he walked around and then told me he needed to call to get another guy to help? While we were waiting he drew up some estimates... Number 1: He could snake the lines and run a camera through that would be $1650.00 WHAT???? Number 2: He would snake the lines, no camera. $1100.00 (this guy is crazy) And number 3: snake the lines?? Im not even sure what he was going to do at this point. $800.00 All of these quotes of course were not including the original $250.00 for the "emergency" visit. I was blown away!!!! This was a routine fix and to quote such rediculous prices was something i couldnt even wrap my head around. In the end i paid the emergency fee and sent the guy on his merry way. I was not going to be taken advantage of. So in the end I paid 250.00 dollars for NOTHING!!!! I did call another company and one guy came prepared, snaked the lines and the entire cost was $195.00 If you are looking for a company to over charge and rip you off then Gold Star is the way to go.
