Congregation Ohav Sholom, an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, was formed in April 1962 and has grown from 14 families to nearly 400 families today.

The synagogue encourages participation by its members, as it does not have a regular chazzan. Members are asked to lead services, including daven shachrais, musaf, lain, chant the Haftorah, daven mincha and maariv.

A beginner's minyan is held periodically to enable individuals to become more comfortable in an orthodox worship service. A beginner's Hebrew reading class for adults is also available. The synagogue offers a very popular women's teffilah group which is under the guidance of the rabbi and remains within strict halachic confines.

Each Shabbat, youth are offered a regular junior congregation with an experienced youth leader. The youth leader also holds many activities during the year on weeknights and Sundays.

The synagogue's rabbi is Ira Ebbin.
