Washington Irving High School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to students in grades 9 through 12. Its curriculum includes architectural drawing, fashion design, photography, stagecraft, computer graphics, art history, sculpture and band. The school conducts classes in modern dance and musical theatre. It operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. The school administers the English as a Second Language program. It also operates WIHS Step Team. The school organizes a variety of athletic activities that includes football, basketball, volleyball, hockey and soccer. Washington Irving High School maintains a library and media center.
