This is officially in the Rochester area rotation. Oysters, table by the water. Clean and modern decor. Service was fantastic, kitchen was timely, menu was lean, though above average I'd say....

Galene is a Classically Designed New American Restaurant, with Local and Coastal Touches. We are located in the finger-lakes region of NY right on Conesus lake. We are near letchworth park and in the greater Rochester region. We are 20 minutes from Henrietta NY, 30 minutes from victor NY, 30 minutes from pittsford NY, 20 minutes from honeyoe falls NY. Our vision is to create a new take on classic coastal and American cuisine, and present them at affordable price points, in a fresh classic atmosphere. We believe that Galene can be a year round destination location, with great hospitality and culinary offerings.

Had the fried pickles..... they made it too complex.....some things were better left alone. Dan Dan noodles were good. The seafood in foil was rather plain. I'd rate it about Galene 7/10....

Beautiful location on the water & accessible by boat. Ambiance was lovely. Food was solid. Only knock was they don't do any modifications or substitutions (ie no adding a protein to a salad),...

Service was good the meal was over priced and cold when served. The manager did come by but what can she do about it.
