The focus of Emergency Skills, Inc. ( ESI ) is to train corporate employees to respond confidently and calmly to workplace emergencies. Our goal is to save lives and to improve quality of life through a properly handled emergency. Founded in 1977, ESI offers quality safety training programs to businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies and individuals in the New York City area. Since 1997, ESI has been working to expand the availability of Automated External Defibrillators ( AED ). ESI is currently the main distributor for Philips Medical Systems in New York City. In 2000, ESI was selected to become an American Heart Association Training Center. Currently, we train more corporate employees in the Heartsaver AED program than any other training center in New York. In 2007 alone we trained over 15, 000 people.
