Hackensack Mountain Trailhead is nestled in Warrensburg, NY, offering a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts. Rising approximately 1,357 feet above sea level, this Adirondack mountain provides breathtaking views of the Hudson and Schroon Rivers merging together.

The mountain's name, stemming from the Algonquin word Achkincheschakey, reflects its historical significance as a source of granite for the town's architecture. Once home to a ski area, the mountain was generously donated as a public park in 1980, now known as Hackensack Mountain Park and Recreation Area.

Today, thanks to collaborative efforts, visitors can enjoy a well-maintained trail system for various recreational activities year-round. Immerse yourself in nature, explore the designated paths, and soak in the rich history of this modest yet captivating mountain.
