Established in 1914, New York State Insurance Fund is a nonprofit agency that is one of the largest providers of workers' compensation insurance in New York. It offers claims and case management and workplace safety programs. The fund provides disability benefits insurance that offers temporary cash benefits for eligible wage earners and disabilities arising from pregnancies. New York State Insurance Fund also provides safety services and proactive loss prevention and risk management assistance. Its special investigation unit, the Division of Confidential Investigations (DCI), handles and prosecutes felony fraud cases against policyholders, claimants and medical providers. The fund has security lending agreements with J.P. Morgan Chase and Key Bank.
