Lexington Center for Recovery
Established in 1982 as The Weekend Center, the Lexington Center for Recovery, is a nonprofit organization that serves Westchester and Dutchess counties in the state of New York. It provides mental health and clinical care services to people who suffer from chemical dependency and substance abuse. The Lexington Center for Recovery also offers spiritual, anger management and relapse prevention services and conducts one-on-one counseling sessions for individuals, families and senior citizens. It provides medication monitoring, psychiatric evaluation, and vocational and educational assessment services. The organization also offers a women's intensive program that focuses on addiction recovery, parenting classes and on-site child care services for women participants with children. The Lexington Center for Recovery operates more than 15 health care units and one of its facilities is located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
