Established in 2004, The West Bronx Academy for the Future serves more than 520 students in grades 6 through 12. The academy provides instruction in the fields of environmental science and astronomy. It focuses on project-based learning and emphasizes the development of problem-solving skills. The academy s students participate in various projects, such as collecting samples to analyze water quality and shooting and producing digital documentaries. The West Bronx Academy for the Future also provides a range of after-school and summer activities. The academy operates several clubs and supports sports activities.
