Corning East High School serves the educational needs of more than 850 students enrolled in grades nine through 12. The school offers instruction in various subjects, including art, business studies, English, health education, social studies, foreign languages, math, phys education and industrial technology. The school offers sports programs, such as basketball, wrestling, swimming and athletics. It also organizes various extracurricular activities and student clubs that include National Honor Society, student government, interact club, senior class, lacrosse club and student council. Its guidance department is responsible for course scheduling and provides counseling services to students. The school also publishes a monthly newspaper, the Eastern Star. Located in Corning, N.Y., the school operates under the guidelines set by the Corning-Painted Post Area School District.
