HistoryIn September 2016, Andrea Blacklow and Ellen Gorman created Moving Arts Exchange (MAX), a non-profit dance organization, drawing on their extensive experience in performance, choreography and dance education. With passion for collaboration and an inclusive approach to dance education, MAX creates opportunities for trained and untrained dancers on the stage, at local community events, and out in the streets. Opportunities include working with our resident and teen companies, ongoing classes for children, teens and adults, MAXFlash events, site-specific dance and video Projects, and collaboration with the MAX Choir and other local artists and arts organizations. Serving ages 18 months to adult, through the moving arts, including ballet, modern, Capoeira, Aikido, a Teen Dance company, an Adult dance company, and a family friendly environment.
