The Juneteenth NY Organization was designed to celebrate and empower our community. Commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. By showcasing the marvels of our creativity, ingenuity, and innovations while educating others, with your support we can change the Black History narrative. Umoja Events is a full service event planning service. We have a wide range of vendors that cover all event needs decorations, cakes, treats, locations, catering, limos, photography & video. We specialize in Balloon decor by having Professional Balloon Decorators on staff to enhance and make your event more unique then the next. Every year for the past 6 years we have organized all of our resources to give back to the community what we call Juneteenth a Family Fun Day. This event brings together over 3800 hundred people to one location for one day. We have over 100 vendors, Marching Band Performance, Professional Talent from the community and neighboring areas, Basketball Tournament, Food giveaways, games for families and kids and much more. We celebrate the day Blacks in the south realized they were free on Father's Day Weekend at Gershwin Park in East NY Brooklyn. This is our small way of giving back to people who give so much to us.
