Wappinger Recreation Office is one of the departments operated by the municipal government of the Town of Wappinger. Its office is located in Wappinger Falls, N.Y., and offers a wide range of recreation programming for all ages. It provides various facilities, such as senior citizen center, park and garden trails and sports museum. The department designs a variety of activities and programs that include basketball camp, counselor-in-training program, fishing, tennis and golf camps and Carnwath farms summer camp. It also provides various other programs, such as swimming, adult aerobics for women, volleyball, gymnastics, football and soccer. In addition, Wappinger Recreation Office organizes a wide range of events, including family fun nights, annual community day, playground American idol, summer concert series, recreation bus trips, annual Easter egg hunt, annual Halloween parade and bridge games.
