Founded in 1976, Connestee Fire Rescue provides a range of fire protection and prevention services for citizens in Transylvania County in North Carolina. It is a volunteer department that offers wild land fire protection solutions. The nonprofit department also provides vehicle extrication, emergency medical care, and swift and deep water rescue services. Connestee Fire Rescue maintains various fire stations, engines, ladders and tankers. In addition, it has a staff of more than 40 individuals. The department operates in Connestee Falls, Sherwood Forest, Sequoyah Woods, Steel Creek, Walnut Hollow and Whiskey Creek in North Carolina.
