Founded in 1965, Montclair Elementary School is a public, coeducational institution that enrolls more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It is a Title I school and offers a variety of academic courses, such as math, language arts, social studies, science and reading. Montclair Elementary School offers accelerated reader, English as a Second Language, spelling bee, quiz bowl, terrific kid and Battle of the Books programs. Its accelerated reader program promotes reading comprehension skills for children. The school s Title I program provides funding for staff development and purchasing additional computers, software, printers and books.
