Guilford County Schools, also known as GCS, is one of the largest school districts in North Carolina that serves more than 71,000 students. It operates several elementary, middle and high schools. The district has a staff of over 10,000 full- and part-time employees. Guilford County Schools also operates a performing and visual arts school, as well as various special education schools.
