The Engineering Department is operated by the government of the Town of Cary in North Carolina. The department works for infrastructure development in the town. It is responsible for the planning, design and construction capital improvement projects. The department promotes orderly growth guidelines through development and implementation of the town s standard specifications. The Engineering Department is also responsible for the construction and improvement of stormwater management, water and sewer systems, as well as streets. In addition, the department handles projects for the expansion of utility plants. The Town of Cary operates through finance, administration, fire, planning, police, human resources, and inspections and permits departments.
