Mountain Theatre Company, Western North Carolina’s premier professional theatre, performs at the Highlands Playhouse. Mountain Theatre Company produces a full season of high-quality productions from July - December. They produce large musicals, revues, and plays, bringing in professional performers, technicians, and designers from across the country each season. First-run films are shown at the Playhouse before MTC’s live theatre season begins, from March - June.
