Richard Stanhope Pullen founded Pullen Park on March 22, 1887. Once farmland, Mr. Pullen donated the land as a gift to the City of Raleigh to be used as parkland. He characterized it as on old cow pasture, red and rocky. He intended this land to be used for the recreation use and pleasure of the inhabitants and the visitors to the City of Raleigh. Through his visions, Pullen Park became the first public park in North Carolina.

Every year around Christmas season, Pullen Park sets up the park in Winter Wonderland mode. This year was fantastic and it's easy to see why tickets sell out so fast. There is a train ride...

Went here on a whim looking for places to bring our dog. Was a great place to visit. Dogs are able to visit - they're just not able to go inside any facility structures respectively. What a neat...

Beautiful park in Raleigh. Great for families and all ages. I will say we came on a nice Saturday and it was really busy with kids and families. There's peddle boats in the lake for $7 and fits...
