Brunswick Community College is a tax-supported, public, nonprofit school. Established by the North Carolina Legislature in 1979, the college is supervised by North Carolina Community College System and North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1983, it offers degree programs in various courses, including aquaculture, business administration, computer programming, cosmetology, early childhood, electronics engineering, health information, horticulture, and industrial and information systems. The college also offers courses in office systems, turfgrass management, air conditioning, heating and refrigeration technology, general occupational technology, practical nursing, basic law enforcement training, esthetics technology, and phlebotomy. Additionally, it provides distance learning programs, and features a fully equipped library. Located in Supply, N.C., the college s Odell Williamson auditorium is a state-of-the-art 1,500-seat performing arts facility.
