Briarcliff Elementary School provides educational programs to more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes physical education, reading, science, English, math and social studies. The instructional lessons offered at the school are developed from the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. In addition to classroom experiences, students are taught in special areas of art, media, music and technology. Additionally, Briarcliff Elementary School organizes activity groups, such as media helpers, jump rope team, chorus, safety patrol and the student council. The elementary school also organizes a range of social and cultural events. With its location in Cary, N.C., Briarcliff Elementary School is a part of the Wake County Public School System, which consists of more than 150 schools and over 13,000 teachers and staff members.
