Founded in 2005, Polk County Middle School occupies an area of more than 100,000 square feet. It offers learning opportunities for over 550 students in grades six through eight. The school s curriculum includes language arts, science, math, social studies, technology, health and music. The school operates various extracurricular clubs and groups and promotes participation in athletic activities, such as basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, baseball, cross country, golf and soccer. Located in Mill Spring, N.C., Polk County Middle School is managed by Polk County Schools, which serves more than 2,500 students in prekindergarten through grade 12 and operates nearly six educational facilities.
