A native of Lenoir, NC, owner Ann Miller opened Foothills Framing in Lenoir in 1980, after spending several years learning the skills and techniques of custom picture framing while working at a large gallery and custom picture framing shop in Raleigh, NC. She has continued to develop her skills and increase her education of custom picture framing through attendance at trade shows, taking numerous classes taught by experts on various aspects of framing, has earned the CPF (Certified Picture Framer) credential offered by the Professional Picture Framers Association, and continues to renew that certification every four years through required course work.
